Tejasswi Prakash shares her views on being financially independent; says, depending on men for financial advice is stupid
Tejasswi Prakash during a recent interview on Youtube revealed how she is big on investments. The actress shared that she feels it’s stupid to depend on men for financial advice. In fact, Tejasswi is also a trader and she actively invests in stocks and mutual funds.
She said, “I think that’s just stupid. I am big on investments. I am a trader, and I trade mostly equity and a few options and futures. I feel like it doesn’t just involve guesswork but it involves a lot of studies. So, I have studied. I have had a course. I am aware of the fact that you cannot completely rely on an industry like mine. Especially for the kind of workaholic that I am.”
The actress also added that she doesn’t want to stress about money even if there is no work and she is sitting at home. “You, as a person, should very well have an understanding of yourself. Are you the kind of person who can stay at home, peacefully, and happily without working? If you know you are not that person, then you are going to go crazy when you don’t have work because you can’t decide that you will always have work. Even when I am not working, I still have an income while I am just sitting at home.”
Having said that, Tejasswi still wants to work even when there’s newer talent around. She’d also like to have a family and give more time there. “I think a girl should be independent enough. Tomorrow, never call somebody else for financial help and if ever she decides to leave, she should not go back to a different dependent house but to her own place. I want to go to a place which is mine. As a woman, as a mother, as a wife, as a sister you should have that independence because then that’s about self-respect, ki agar apni koi cheez bar dash na ho sake, to apne logo ko uss situation se leke bahar nikal jao,” she concluded.
